Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently met with US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy in Jerusalem, strengthening the bond between the two countries and their shared values.
During their private meeting and subsequent working lunch with a bipartisan US congressional delegation, the two leaders discussed various topics, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration and support. McCarthy has been a vocal advocate for Netanyahu’s government and Israel’s democracy, expressing unwavering support for the country.
The delegation, led by McCarthy, consists of 20 Republican and Democrat lawmakers. Upon their arrival in Israel, they visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem, where McCarthy left a heartfelt message in the holy site’s visitor book, writing, “Israel, you are a blessed nation. Our shared values unite a bond that will never break.”
The delegation also visited Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial Center, accompanied by Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana. McCarthy is set to address the Israeli parliament as it opens its summer session, becoming only the second US House speaker to do so after Newt Gingrich in 1998.
These meetings and the continued cooperation between Israel and the United States reflect the deep-rooted connection between the two countries, built on shared values and a commitment to democracy, freedom, and justice. As the State of Israel moves forward, its partnership with the US remains a crucial component in promoting peace, progress, and prosperity in the region. The people of Israel continue to strive for a brighter future for their nation and the world, highlighting the power of unity and resilience.
