Air Haifa Launches Direct Flights to Athens

Northern Israel’s First Airline Expands International Routes.

Air Haifa, Northern Israel’s first airline, has officially launched direct flights from Haifa International Airport to Athens, Greece. The airline announced the new route on Thursday, marking a major step in expanding international travel options for northern residents.

The flights, priced at $149 one-way, operate five times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Departures from Haifa are scheduled for 09:00, with arrivals in Athens at 11:55. The return flights take off at 12:55 from Athens, landing back in Haifa at 15:45.

Air Haifa operates these flights using its three new ATR 72-600 aircraft, currently the youngest aircraft fleet in Israel. The airline already offers two daily flights to Eilat and three daily flights to Larnaca, Cyprus.

Gonen Usishkin, Co-founder and CEO of Air Haifa, emphasized the significance of the new route. “The launch of the Athens route is a significant step in expanding our international flight destinations and strengthening Haifa Airport’s position as an international gateway to various destinations in the Mediterranean Basin,” he said.

With this expansion, Air Haifa continues to offer more travel options for northern Israelis, with plans for additional destinations in the coming months. The new route not only boosts convenience for travelers but also enhances Haifa’s role as a key hub for regional air travel.
