AnimaWings Opens Tel Aviv–Bucharest Route Starting October 5

The Romanian airline will operate three weekly flights tailored for Israeli travelers with connections across Europe.

Romanian airline AnimaWings is launching a new direct route between Tel Aviv and Bucharest, with the inaugural flight taking off on Sunday, October 5 at 9:40 p.m. The announcement, made this week, marks a strategic expansion that strengthens travel ties between Israel and Romania two countries with a long-standing cultural and economic connection.

The airline, represented in Israel by Tal Aviation Group, will operate three weekly flights: Sundays at 10:40 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:55 a.m., using 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. Passengers will benefit from generous inclusions such as free seat selection, check-in, and a hand baggage allowance that includes an 8-kg trolley and a 4-kg personal item.

AnimaWings is aiming to serve not only the growing number of Israeli tourists visiting Romania but also the large Romanian community in Israel. The airline is launching a Hebrew-language support center, as well as customized services for groups and special travelers, including students, seniors, and business professionals.

“Israel is one of our closest friends, and we are committed to strengthening the ties between our countries,” said Marius Pandel, president of AnimaWings. He added that the company plans to expand the number of flights and offer flexible, affordable solutions.

With over 300,000 passengers traveling between Israel and Romania since the start of 2025, according to Israel Airports Authority data, the demand for convenient and cost-effective connections is evident. The Tel Aviv–Bucharest route will also offer single-ticket connections to Romanian cities such as Cluj, Iași, Oradea, Timișoara, and Suceava, as well as international destinations including Paris, Munich, Istanbul, Prague, and Stockholm.

Founded in 2020 and part of Romania’s Memento Group, AnimaWings is in the midst of fleet expansion, with plans to introduce Airbus A220 aircraft to further enhance its offerings.

As Israeli tourism continues to bounce back, new and reliable connections like these help sustain the vital economic and cultural exchanges between Israel and its European neighbors.
