Israel to Honor Charlie Kirk at Antisemitism Conference in Jerusalem

Global leaders will gather to confront rising antisemitism and pay tribute to the late US activist during Holocaust Remembrance events.

Next week, Jerusalem will host a powerful gathering of world leaders, lawmakers, and Jewish community figures committed to confronting one of humanity’s oldest and most dangerous hatreds antisemitism. At the heart of the event will be a posthumous tribute to Charlie Kirk, the influential American conservative activist who was killed in a tragic shooting in September 2025.

The “Generation of Truth” conference, organized by Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, will take place January 26–27, centered around International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The main event, held at Binyanei Ha’uma convention center on January 27, will be accompanied by exclusive side events including a formal gala and a Knesset session.

Israeli officials described the conference as a crucial step in building an “international coalition” to recognize and confront antisemitism as a lethal ideology that endangers free societies across the globe. Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli emphasized that the threat goes beyond the Jewish people, targeting the foundations of democratic values.

Among the scheduled speakers are President Isaac Herzog, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and Argentina’s Justice Minister Mariano Cúneo Libarona. The program includes panels on Holocaust denial, online disinformation, and the radicalization of Western societies.

A poignant feature of the gathering will be a tribute to Charlie Kirk, the co-founder of Turning Point USA, whose vocal support for Jewish communities and unwavering stance against antisemitism earned him admiration in Israel and beyond. His legacy, organizers said, will be honored during the conference as a symbol of courage in the face of rising hate.

This year’s conference takes on added urgency amid a troubling global surge in antisemitic attacks, particularly following the October 7, 2023 massacre by Hamas. The wave of violence and rhetoric that followed has left Jewish communities around the world feeling increasingly vulnerable.

A 2025 global survey by the Anti-Defamation League and the World Union of Jewish Students revealed that 78% of Jewish students feel the need to hide their identity on campus. The climate on university grounds has become a battleground for ideological conflict, with antisemitic tropes and hostility spreading under the guise of activism.

In May 2025, the Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed that two Israeli diplomats, Yaron Lishinsky and Sarah Milgram, were murdered in a terror attack outside the Jewish Museum in Washington. Then in December, a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney turned into a nightmare when 15 people were killed and dozens wounded in a brutal antisemitic assault on Bondi Beach.

Rabbi Yehoram Ulman, who is listed among the speakers at the upcoming conference, played a central role in leading funerals for the Sydney victims, making his presence at the Jerusalem event especially meaningful.

The “Generation of Truth” conference seeks not just to remember, but to act forming policies, partnerships, and strategies to ensure that the horrors of the past are never repeated. The message is clear: antisemitism will be confronted, exposed, and defeated.

By honoring voices like Charlie Kirk’s and uniting international leaders in this fight, Israel continues to stand strong not only as the homeland of the Jewish people but as a frontline defender of moral clarity and truth in an increasingly turbulent world.
