Jerusalem Memorial for Charlie Kirk Becomes Rallying Cry for Israel
Hundreds gather to honor slain activist, vowing to continue his unwavering defense of the Jewish state.

A memorial service held Sunday in Jerusalem for conservative activist Charlie Kirk transformed into a powerful call to action, as hundreds of attendees pledged to continue his legacy of standing boldly for the State of Israel.
Approximately 300 people including Israeli officials, clergy, Christian leaders, and American supporters gathered to honor the life and mission of the Turning Point USA founder, who was assassinated in September during a campus speaking event. The event quickly evolved from remembrance to recommitment.
Speakers described Kirk not just as a friend of Israel, but as a fierce defender of truth who saw Israel’s battle for survival as a global moral frontier.
“He spoke with clarity, without apology, and always with a firm grasp of the stakes,” said Israel’s Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli, praising Kirk’s “responsibility, clarity, and discipline.” Chikli emphasized that Kirk’s voice had become a crucial source of support for Israel in a time of escalating global hostility.
Pastor Rob McCoy recalled Kirk’s spiritual discipline, especially his commitment to observing a Sabbath of digital rest turning everything off one day a week. “He found unbelievable freedom in that,” McCoy said, adding that Kirk’s devotion to faith, family, and Israel made him a rare and inspiring voice in today’s culture.
Kirk’s influence was also deeply personal for many attendees. Tammy Martin, a visitor from California, said Kirk’s message changed how she viewed the Jewish state. “The truth they speak goes straight through,” she said. “Charlie was one of those people.”
Kirk’s assassination on September 10, 2025 shot by a sniper while speaking at Utah Valley University cast a heavy shadow over the service. The shooter, 22-year-old Tyler James Robinson, was arrested three days later and now faces capital murder charges. Prosecutors have labeled the killing a politically motivated act of hatred.
Despite the tragedy, Kirk’s memory now fuels a growing movement. In the wake of the October 7 Hamas massacre, Kirk had been among the first to call it what it was: an act of barbarism. “The horror and the barbarism here is hard to even comprehend,” he said, urging Americans to stand firmly behind Israel’s right to defend itself.
In a private letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, later revealed by the New York Post, Kirk warned that antisemitism and anti-Israel rhetoric were reaching unprecedented levels. He wrote, “Advocating for Israel is one of my greatest joys as a Christian,” and pledged his ongoing solidarity with the Jewish people.
That commitment now lives on in those he inspired. The message that rang out from Jerusalem was unmistakable: Charlie Kirk’s voice may have been silenced, but his mission endures louder and stronger.
Israel’s defenders have lost a friend, but they have gained a rallying cry.
