Charlie Kirk’s Confidential Letter to Netanyahu Offers Israel PR Fix

Before his assassination, the conservative activist warned Israel is losing the information war and offered strategies to win back young American support.

Before his tragic assassination earlier this month, conservative activist Charlie Kirk sent a powerful private letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning that Israel is losing the information war especially among young Americans. The letter, dated May 2 and made public this week, reveals Kirk’s deep concern over rising anti-Israel and antisemitic sentiment on social media and the waning support for Israel even within conservative circles in the U.S.

“The purpose of this letter is to lay out our concerns and outline potential remedies,” Kirk wrote. “Everything written here is from a place of deep love for Israel and the Jewish people.” His tone was urgent, even raw, as he described witnessing a collapse in support for Israel among younger audiences, particularly on platforms like TikTok and X.

One of the most poignant lines from the letter. “In my opinion, Israel is losing the information war and needs a ‘communications intervention.’” Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, dedicated the final months of his life to analyzing the media landscape and crafting ways for Israel to reclaim the narrative in the face of growing hostility.

Among his seven strategic recommendations were:

  • Establishing a rapid response team on X (Twitter) to counter disinformation in real-time

  • Creating an “Israel Truth Network” of pro-Israel experts and voices to challenge false narratives

  • Sending released hostages on U.S. speaking tours to humanize the impact of Hamas terror

  • Highlighting that Hamas commits war crimes by hiding weapons in civilian infrastructure

  • Launching a campaign titled “Dude, You Got Us Wrong” featuring Israelis from all walks of life Jewish, Arab, Druze, Orthodox and secular correcting online misinformation

Kirk also pushed for a stronger public case from Netanyahu about the threat posed by Iran, noting that even supporters of Israel fear America being drawn into another Middle East entanglement.

“I’m accused of being a paid apologist for Israel when I defend her,” Kirk said. “However, if I don’t defend Israel strongly enough, I’m accused of being antisemitic.” He described the climate as deeply toxic and confusing, especially for pro-Israel conservatives trying to navigate it honestly.

His words have also silenced conspiracy theories peddled by anti-Israel voices claiming Kirk’s support was coerced. His letter was personal, intentional, and fiercely principled. It reflects a deep-seated belief in the importance of defending Israel not as a political pawn, but as a moral necessity.

Netanyahu reportedly responded to the letter just eight days before Kirk was killed, acknowledging the urgency of the message and affirming Israel’s efforts to fight back against propaganda and misinformation.

In the current global climate, when social media wars often carry more weight than battlefield victories, Kirk’s insight is more relevant than ever. His appeal wasn’t for political theatrics it was a heartfelt plea to safeguard Israel’s future by reclaiming the truth.
