Supporting Israel Means Securing the Future of Mankind
Global voices unite in Jerusalem on Declaration Day to affirm Israel’s truth and mission for humanity.

Jerusalem’s David Citadel Hotel served as the heartbeat of a powerful global affirmation on May 14, as eighteen foreign ambassadors, Jewish leaders, activists, journalists, and influencers gathered to mark 77 years since the reestablishment of the State of Israel. Hosted by the Israel Forever Foundation, the Declaration Day celebration wasn’t just a gala it was a public pledge to the enduring truth and purpose of the Jewish nation.
Broadcast live to pro-Israel supporters worldwide, the event served as a reminder of the legal, historical, and spiritual foundations of the Jewish state. “On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion stood before the world and declared the independence of the Jewish state in our ancestral homeland,” said Israel Forever CEO Elana Heideman. “It was not just a political act it was the fulfillment of generations of yearning, struggle and faith.”
Now, 77 years later, amid surging antisemitism and global disinformation campaigns, Heideman called on the world to once again stand tall. “We don’t have a narrative; we have a truth,” she said. “Standing up for Israel is standing up for the future of mankind and for the future of peace.”
Echoing Israel’s Declaration of Independence, which contains exactly 664 words, speakers were invited to deliver personal messages in the same length each a testament to Zionism’s enduring relevance.
Award-winning journalist Ruthie Blum of JNS captured the moment with poignant clarity. “The bad news isn’t new we’ve seen this before. And we’ve always overcome.” Despite criticism, she declared her unwavering pride in her 1977 aliyah. “Not after Oct. 7 either,” she said. “We have truth on our side.”
Blum emphasized that telling the truth about Israel should not require courage it only requires integrity. “The Jewish people are an ancient people. This is the land of the Jews. The State of Israel was recognized. It is legitimate. We’re not warmongers we’re peacemongers. And being pro-Israel is being pro-truth.”
Knesset Member Ohad Tal (Religious Zionism) spoke next, voicing gratitude to the event’s participants and to supporters of Israel around the globe. “Israel is under attack not just by rockets, but by those who question the Jewish people’s right to exist,” he said. “We broke all rules of history and physics by returning to this land after 2,000 years.”
Tal posed a challenge: “Did we come back only to defend ourselves? Or did we return with a mission to be a light unto the nations?” His answer was clear: “We came back for the sake of humanity. We are here to bring a blessing to the world.”
The Israel Forever Foundation’s Declaration Day celebration was not just a commemoration, but a recommitment a clarion call to Jews and allies everywhere. In a time of rising hostility and historic distortion, the message from Jerusalem rang clear: standing with Israel means standing with truth, with justice, and with a vision for peace grounded in moral clarity.
