Avdija’s Final Maccabi Tel Aviv Game Jersey Headed to Auction

In first official memorabilia sale, club honors NBA All-Star’s legacy and supports children in need.

In a move that combines sports history with heartfelt giving, Maccabi Tel Aviv has announced it will auction off the game-worn jersey from Deni Avdija’s final appearance with the club just days before he becomes the first Israeli ever to play in the NBA All-Star Game.

This jersey isn’t just a collectible. It’s a symbol of one of Israeli basketball’s proudest moments. The blue Nike uniform, size 54 with extended length, was worn by Avdija during the 2020 Winner League final, where he led Maccabi to an 86–81 victory and was named League MVP. That game marked the end of his career in Israel, as he was soon after selected in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The auction will open Thursday at 5 p.m. Israel time on Maccabi’s official online store and will close Sunday at 6 p.m. just hours before Avdija takes the court in the NBA All-Star Game. The starting bid is set at NIS 5,000.

Signed by Avdija and accompanied by official club certification, the jersey is the first item to be offered in an official Maccabi Tel Aviv memorabilia auction. Club officials described the offering as a “historic piece of Israeli basketball,” symbolizing both Avdija’s journey from youth academy standout to NBA All-Star and the growing global reach of Israeli talent.

In keeping with that spirit, 10% of proceeds from the sale will be donated to Variety Israel, a nonprofit supporting children with special needs from low-income families a nod to Avdija’s own roots and the values he continues to represent on and off the court.

From Tel Aviv to Washington, Deni Avdija’s rise is a source of pride not only for basketball fans but for an entire nation. This jersey represents the moment a homegrown star stepped onto the global stage, and it now offers fans a chance to own a piece of that history while giving back to the next generation.
