Eric Adams Reaffirms Deep Commitment to Israel in Jerusalem Visit
At a Jerusalem dinner, the New York City mayor highlights enduring ties with Israel, calling it a relationship built on loyalty, shared values, and mutual trust.

In a heartfelt evening at Jerusalem’s iconic King David Hotel, New York City Mayor Eric Adams made it clear: his support for Israel is not fleeting it’s personal, principled, and enduring.
Joined by Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat, along with senior business and government leaders, Adams delivered remarks underscoring his deep connection to the Jewish state. “My love for Israel is not an event of the moment,” he said. “It is an ongoing commitment to the values of freedom, security, and prosperity.”
The event, hosted by Avi Balashnikov, chair of the Ronald Lauder Centers in Israel and head of the Israel Export Institute, celebrated the strengthening economic and civic ties between New York and Israel. It was also an expression of gratitude not just for political partnership, but for genuine solidarity.
Adams praised Israel as a nation defined by “courage, resilience, and a clear moral compass,” stating that the relationship between New York and Israel is built on “trust, deep human connection, and unwavering loyalty.” In an increasingly complex global environment, Adams’s consistent and vocal support has not gone unnoticed.
Minister Barkat, echoing that sentiment, offered warm thanks: “In our tradition, gratitude is a fundamental value. And you, Mr. Adams, truly stood by us not as an institution and not just as a mayor, but as a person with deep commitment to Israel and to the Jewish people.”
During Adams’s tenure, he played a key role in launching the Israel–New York Economic Council, which Barkat described as “a living bridge between our communities and our businesses.” The Council aims to deepen collaboration across technology, innovation, and trade, further binding Jerusalem and New York as global hubs of enterprise and culture.
The evening marked more than just a ceremonial event. It was a reaffirmation that Israel has true allies in global leadership individuals who don’t merely offer diplomatic niceties but take meaningful action in defense of shared values.
As Avi Balashnikov put it, Adams’s presence in Israel is “a profound expression of friendship, determination, and standing by Israel in its most critical moments.”
When the bond between Israel and its partners is measured not just in words, but in unwavering action, it stands stronger than ever.
