Gal Gadot Becomes First Israeli Actor Honored on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Israeli star dedicates milestone to passion, hard work, and family amid celebratory and tense moments.

Israeli actress Gal Gadot made history this week, becoming the first Israeli actor to receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony, held Tuesday, drew notable guests including Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel, and fellow Israeli actress Shira Haas, all there to celebrate Gadot’s remarkable achievement.
Standing proudly with her husband Jaron Varsano and their four daughters Alma, Maya, Daniella, and Ori Gadot expressed heartfelt gratitude to her family. “Whenever my success grew, I always got pregnant, I needed to ground myself,” she joked, adding that being a mother has been the most meaningful role of her life. “Being your Ima is my greatest, greatest privilege.”
She also highlighted the ceremony’s deeper significance to her daughters, emphasizing that the honor wasn’t about fame but about the value of passion, dedication, and perseverance. “I want you to know that if you work hard and follow your passion, you can achieve anything, my sweet girls,” she said. “I’m just a girl from a town in Israel. This star will remind me that with hard work and some faith, anything is possible.”
The celebratory occasion was briefly disrupted by demonstrations from both pro-Hamas and pro-Israel groups outside the tented-off ceremony. Protesters held conflicting signs and chants, causing a short delay to the event. Police intervened to manage the situation after an incident involving an Israeli flag.
Gadot, who has remained an outspoken supporter of Israel, addressed her position in a recent interview, explaining that after Hamas’s October 7 terror attack, she felt compelled to use her platform. “When people were abducted from their homes, men, women, children, elderly, Holocaust survivors, I could not be silent,” she stated firmly.
She added, “When your compass is clear, your conscience is clean. I know what I’m advocating for, and I know what I wish for the world.”
Gal Gadot’s Walk of Fame star stands as a testament not only to her groundbreaking career but also to her unwavering dedication to family, values, and her Israeli heritage.
