Gal Gadot to Star in The Recovery Agent Film Series
Israeli icon set to portray action-heroine Gabriela Rose in major Hollywood adaptation.

Gal Gadot is stepping back into the action spotlight this time as Gabriela Rose, the fierce and funny heroine of Janet Evanovich’s bestselling Recovery Agent book series. Paramount Pictures has secured the rights to the novels, launching what’s expected to become a major Hollywood franchise starring Israel’s global star.
Known for her commanding roles in Wonder Woman and Heart of Stone, Gadot seems born to play Gabriela, a treasure-hunting recovery agent with a knack for adventure and a sharp wit to match. The role combines action with comedy a genre blend Gadot handles effortlessly and offers her another opportunity to shine on the international stage.
The Recovery Agent series features Gabriela Rose on globe-trotting missions to recover lost treasures and save her family from financial ruin. In her first outing, she journeys deep into the Peruvian jungle in search of the legendary Seal of Solomon and the lost treasure of Cortez. The second installment throws her into a tangled mess involving missing artifacts and a persistent ex-husband. It’s a perfect playground for Gadot’s charismatic, action-ready presence.
The film will be produced by Gadot and her husband Jaron Varsano under their Pilot Wave banner, alongside Paramount Pictures and producers Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz. With this powerhouse team, expectations are already high for a dynamic franchise.
Gadot continues to represent Israel proudly on and off screen. Her recent role in In the Hand of Dante, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, paired her with major stars like Oscar Isaac and Jason Momoa. In that film, she navigates a literary mystery involving a manuscript of Dante’s The Divine Comedy.
Her next thriller, The Runner, directed by Kevin Macdonald, casts her as a lawyer racing across London to save her kidnapped son. Despite attempted disruptions by anti-Israel protesters during filming, production was completed and the film is set for release this year.
In recognition of her global impact, the Genesis Prize Foundation named Gadot the recipient of the 2026 Genesis Prize, honoring her contributions to international cinema and her unwavering pride in her Israeli identity. Just months earlier, she was honored by the Jerusalem Film Festival for her artistic achievements and role as a cultural ambassador for Israel.
As she takes on her latest role in The Recovery Agent, Gadot continues to embody the courage, creativity, and excellence that define the Israeli spirit. Her success is a reminder of the powerful stories Israelis bring to the world and the unmatched talent behind them.
