Gilat DataPath to deliver real-time geospatial intelligence platform for global government client.

Israeli satellite communications firm Gilat Satellite Networks announced Wednesday that its Gilat DataPath division has secured a $10 million contract to supply a customized Earth observation system, expanding its presence in geospatial and intelligence technologies.
The project, scheduled for delivery over the next year, features a transportable direct-downlink terminal that enables secure, real-time access to Earth observation data, even in infrastructure-limited environments.
Gilat said the platform supports a variety of missions, including intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and humanitarian operations.
Nicole Robinson, head of Gilat DataPath, said the solution meets the growing need for resilient, mission-tailored insights by governments worldwide. “This award underscores confidence in our ability to deliver customized capabilities based on our trusted SATCOM terminals,” she said.
This deal signals Gilat's strategic push beyond traditional satellite communications into integrated sensing and geospatial systems. The firm aims to meet rising demand from defense and emergency response sectors seeking faster decision-making tools.
Gilat, traded on Nasdaq and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, provides SATCOM platforms and network solutions across multi-orbit constellations, software-defined satellites, and high-throughput systems. The company’s products serve military, aviation, mobility, and infrastructure clients, and are used in critical missions around the globe.
