Global Prayer and Worship Converge at Tower of David for Hostage Hope and Peace in Jerusalem

Christians and Jews unite at iconic Jerusalem site amid Trump-brokered hostage deal talks

In a breathtaking display of unity and faith, Jerusalem became the focal point of a powerful global gathering as thousands from around the world joined hearts and voices at the Tower of David near Jaffa Gate. Hosted by Eagles’ Wings, the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ) and Awake Jerusalem drew together Jewish and Christian believers for an unforgettable day of worship, prayer, and deep spiritual connection.

From every continent, voices rose in unison from 4:00–5:30 PM EST, interceding for peace over the city of Jerusalem and the people of Israel. This year's DPPJ was not only an interfaith gesture of solidarity but also a passionate cry for healing and restoration.

The event featured heartfelt messages from senior Israeli leaders. Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke with clarity and compassion, sharing hopeful news that progress is being made toward securing the release of hostages. “The Israeli government has a commitment to bring home all the hostages dead and alive,” he affirmed, expressing gratitude for international support, particularly from former President Donald Trump.

Jerusalem’s Mayor echoed this hope, emphasizing that the return of the hostages and the end of war remain central to the city’s prayers. “We pray to see our loved ones home as speedily as possible,” he said, capturing the spirit of unity that resonated throughout the day.

The gathering took an emotional turn with a moving performance by Israeli artist Yuval Raphael, who represented Israel in the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. Raphael courageously shared her personal account of surviving the October 7th massacre, bringing many to tears with her message of faith, strength, and hope.

Since its founding in 2002, DPPJ has mobilized millions from over 175 nations to answer the call of Psalm 122:6 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” This year’s gathering was a living testament to that enduring commitment.

As night fell, the Tower of David was illuminated by the spirit of Awake Jerusalem, turning the historic fortress into a sanctuary of praise. The evening featured a lineup of renowned worship artists, including Nate Diaz, Paul Wilbur, David Binion, and others, who led a celebration of spiritual resilience and prophetic proclamation. Each voice and melody added depth to the message that Jerusalem remains not only a city of the past but the hope of the future.

Bishop Robert Stearns, founder of Eagles’ Wings, described the significance of the event: “This is more than a concert or a prayer meeting; it is a prophetic sign that hope and restoration are rising from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.”

The dual gathering also marked the conclusion of the Watchmen on the Wall Tour, which brought hundreds of Christian leaders to Israel this year to deepen their connection with the land and its people.

From ancient walls to modern faith, the message rang clear peace, not conflict, will write the final chapter over Jerusalem. As worship echoed through the Old City, a renewed vision emerged of partnership, purpose, and a future shaped by faith.
