IDF Stops Hebron Car-Ramming Attack; Terrorist Killed, Soldier Injured
Second vehicle attack in Hebron this week heightens concerns over growing terror threats in Judea and Samaria.

Israeli forces shot and killed a terrorist on Saturday night during a car-ramming attack near the Police Circle in Hebron, the IDF reported. One Israeli soldier was lightly injured in the incident.
According to the military, “a short while ago, two terrorists accelerated their vehicle toward forces of the Paratroopers Brigade, who were on an operational mission at a police checkpoint in the Yehuda Regional Brigade. The forces fired at the terrorists and eliminated them.” A later update confirmed that an uninvolved civilian was also hit in the crossfire.
The attempted attack marks the second car-ramming incident in Hebron in less than a week. On Monday, another terrorist rammed a female soldier in the same area, lightly injuring her. That attacker was killed hours later by the 202nd Paratroopers Battalion after a second attempt to ram Israeli troops.
A senior Israeli security official told Channel 14 News that intelligence vulnerabilities in Judea and Samaria are a growing concern. “We are not strong enough there in intelligence. We will still encounter the weapons that entered the area during the war,” the official said. “We must prepare for a scenario like October 7 there, which could erupt at any moment.”
The attack follows the conclusion of Operation Five Stones, a two-week IDF counterterror mission in northern Samaria. Over 30 precision strikes were carried out, eliminating key operatives, arresting wanted suspects, and seizing weapons and cash intended for future attacks.
