Holon Institute of Technology President: Building a Brighter Future for Our Students
Innovative Programs and Flexible Schedules Support HIT Students Serving in the IDF
Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) is ushering in a new era of education, aimed at creating a brighter future for its students and the nation. President Eduard Yakubov, quoting Abraham Lincoln, stated, “The best way to predict your future is to create it. We are creating a better future for our students and our great country.”
To support students who serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), HIT began its academic year with a staggered schedule, starting in December, January, and April. This flexibility allows students to return to their studies seamlessly. Moreover, the institute provides personalized scheduling with the help of academic advisors, ensuring each student can tailor their education to their unique needs.
“We are investing in their success,” Yakubov emphasized, “because of the great importance of engineers, scientists, and high-tech professionals. Each year, we supply hundreds of graduates to Israeli society and industry, to companies such as Elbit, Rafael, Google, Checkpoint, and Israel Aerospace Industries. We consider each of our students, either in the reserves or in regular military service, our own sons, and daughters.”
Yakubov highlighted HIT’s Department of Digital Medical Technologies, which is pioneering the integration of digital medicine with applied AI in clinical settings. This program aims to equip the next generation of physicians with cutting-edge tools and knowledge. Additionally, HIT is launching an innovative academic program to prepare future radiological medical experts, providing them with extensive applied AI knowledge.
These two departments will form the foundation of the Faculty of Medical Technologies, the first of its kind in Israel. This new faculty underscores HIT’s commitment to advancing education and training in the medical field, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to meet the challenges of modern healthcare.
HIT’s approach reflects a dedication to not only academic excellence but also to the personal and professional growth of its students. By fostering an environment that supports both their military and educational commitments, HIT is truly creating a better future for its students and the nation.
