Houthis Make False Claims of Hitting Ben Gurion Airport, USS Harry Truman
Israel intercepts missile outside airspace, US targets Houthi infrastructure in Yemen.

In their latest round of provocations, the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists claimed on Sunday to have successfully targeted Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport with their so-called hypersonic "Palestine 2" ballistic missile. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree boasted that the missile strike “achieved its goal,” allegedly suspending air traffic at the airport for over 30 minutes.
However, Israeli defense authorities quickly debunked these claims. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that sirens were activated in central Israel at around 7:30 am, but no damage or injuries occurred. A Houthi missile was successfully intercepted before it entered Israeli airspace, ensuring the safety of civilians and infrastructure.
Saree also asserted that Houthi forces launched missiles and drones at the American aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in the Red Sea. Yet, no evidence supports this claim, and the US military has reported no successful hits on the carrier.
The latest attack comes amid the Houthis' renewed campaign against Israel, which resumed last week with additional missile launches triggering sirens in central Israel and Jerusalem. In response, the US Central Command has launched strikes targeting high-level Houthi leadership and terrorist infrastructure in Yemen. President Donald Trump reaffirmed the administration's stance, holding Iran accountable for any aggression emanating from the Houthis.
These false claims highlight the Houthis’ continued strategy of spreading misinformation, attempting to instill fear while failing to cause real damage. Israel's robust air defense systems, coupled with growing US military pressure, underscore the coordinated efforts to neutralize these threats and maintain regional security.
