Israeli Air Force Strikes Iranian Regime Leadership Compound in Central Tehran
Following Hezbollah’s missile assault in retaliation for Iran’s leadership losses, Israel launches forceful response under Operation Roaring Lion.

In a dramatic escalation of Operation Roaring Lion, the Israeli Air Force struck the Iranian regime’s central leadership compound in the heart of Tehran overnight, targeting one of the most heavily secured assets in the Islamic Republic.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, Israeli jets dropped numerous precision-guided munitions on the sprawling compound, which spans several city blocks and serves as a nerve center for Iran’s senior leadership and security establishment.
The compound housed the Presidential Office, the Supreme National Security Council building, and facilities used by top officials including slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during critical security deliberations.
The IDF stated that the strike was designed to dismantle infrastructure used to manage attacks against Israel and to direct and finance Iran’s network of terrorist proxies across the region.
“This further degrades the functional continuity of the regime’s command and control systems,” the military said.
The attack was not limited to symbolic structures.
The Israeli Air Force also targeted the primary forum where Iran’s most senior officials convened to conduct situational assessments regarding the nuclear program and coordinate strategies aimed at harming the State of Israel.
In parallel operations throughout Monday, Israeli aircraft struck dozens of additional regime headquarters across Tehran, including command centers belonging to internal security forces responsible for suppressing anti-regime protests.
“These bodies were involved in violently repressing the Iranian population,” the IDF noted.
In another significant strike, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting corporation IRIB was dismantled. According to the IDF, the state broadcaster had repeatedly called for Israel’s destruction and promoted narratives supporting nuclear escalation.
The military’s Farsi-language spokesperson emphasized that the broadcaster had long portrayed regime opponents as enemies of the state while glorifying security forces. “This institution has reached the end of its path,” he declared.
The IDF also confirmed strikes on more than 10 Ministry of Intelligence command centers and multiple headquarters of the Quds Force, the external operations arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The Quds Force is responsible for arming and coordinating terror proxies such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis.
In addition, Israeli jets continued targeting ballistic missile launchers, air defense systems, and weapons production facilities. During one mission, Iranian air defense operators attempting to engage Israeli aircraft were “struck and thwarted,” the military reported.
Since the launch of Operation Roaring Lion on Saturday, approximately 2,500 munitions have been dropped on more than 600 Iranian targets.
The campaign has eliminated over 150 ballistic missile launchers and more than 200 air defense systems, while striking roughly 20 major regime security sites.
Through close coordination with the United States, Iranian air defenses were neutralized faster than in previous confrontations. The joint operation referred to by Washington as Operation Epic Fury enabled the Israeli Air Force to achieve air superiority over Tehran in a significantly shortened timeframe.
With aerial dominance established, Israeli aircraft are now operating inside Iranian airspace with heavy precision-guided munitions.
Israeli leadership has emphasized that the campaign aims to dismantle existential threats posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions and missile capabilities while weakening the regime’s ability to project terror across the Middle East.
By striking command hubs, intelligence centers, and propaganda arms, Israel is targeting not only weapons systems but the operational backbone of the regime itself.
The message is clear: infrastructure used to plan, fund, or incite attacks against the Jewish state will not remain untouched.
