Israel’s IDF Fires 'Bar' Rocket for the First Time at Gaza Terror Infrastructure
New precision weapon strikes terrorist infrastructure as Israeli forces expand operations in the Morag Corridor.

In a significant tactical development, the IDF confirmed Monday that it has launched the "Bar" rocket for the first time as part of an artillery barrage targeting terrorists and terror infrastructure in Gaza's Morag Corridor.
Fired by the 282nd Artillery Brigade under the 36th Division’s command, the Bar rocket is equipped with a navigation system tailored for challenging combat environments and is designed to strike its target with extreme precision in minimal time.
The new weapon was used to support Israeli ground forces operating in the Morag Corridor, a critical sector separating Rafah from Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. In total, the brigade has fired over 5,000 shells at terrorist targets, resulting in the elimination of numerous operatives and the destruction of weapons caches and rocket launch sites.
The Morag Corridor has become a focal point of IDF operations as Israel seeks to widen the area into a network of fortified military positions. According to the military, these efforts are intended to prevent future surprise attacks by ensuring any movement on the ground is visible to Israeli forces.
As part of the operation, the 36th Division is also clearing Palestinian structures deemed critical for terrorist use, thereby expanding Israel’s control over the terrain.
The introduction of the Bar rocket marks another step forward in Israel’s efforts to maintain technological superiority on the battlefield. It exemplifies the innovation and rapid adaptation that are hallmarks of Israeli defense strategy strengthening the nation’s security while sending a clear message to its enemies.
