IDF Neutralizes Around 300 Booby-Trapped Buildings in Jabalya
Operation uncovers and neutralizes explosives, terror infrastructure, and critical intelligence in northern Gaza.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) engineering troops have detected and demolished approximately 300 booby-trapped structures in Jabalya, the military announced on Friday. These structures, rigged with explosives, were strategically positioned by terrorists to ambush IDF soldiers.
The operation is part of the IDF’s ongoing efforts to dismantle explosive devices and eliminate terror infrastructure in the region. According to the military, these actions have led to the neutralization of numerous threats and the discovery of valuable intelligence.
As part of the broader mission, IDF troops from the 162nd Division killed multiple terrorists and destroyed terror installations using tank fire and precision airstrikes. The operation also included close-quarters combat, during which soldiers engaged and neutralized terrorists directly.
In one encounter, troops found a bag on a deceased terrorist containing an explosive device and cameras, likely intended for reconnaissance or propaganda purposes.
Troops arrested several terrorists in the area, who were subsequently interrogated by Unit 504, the IDF’s human intelligence unit. These interrogations yielded critical information, helping the military uncover additional terror infrastructure.
The IDF remains focused on dismantling threats and securing the safety of Israeli citizens while gathering intelligence to prevent future attacks. The discovery and destruction of these booby-trapped structures demonstrate the precision and vigilance of IDF operations.
