IDF Chief Praises Israeli Air Force Crews During Visit to Tel Nof Airbase
Targeted strikes at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport dismantled a key supply network used to move weapons and money across the Middle East.

Israel’s military leadership highlighted the critical role of the Israeli Air Force as the country continues confronting regional threats. During a visit to Tel Nof Airbase, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir praised aircrews, technicians, and operational teams for their tireless work supporting ongoing missions.
Zamir toured the base on Tuesday, meeting with squadron commanders, pilots, unmanned aerial vehicle operators, and technical personnel responsible for maintaining Israel’s advanced air capabilities.
The chief of staff received detailed briefings on the readiness and operational activity of the base’s various units. He was accompanied by the base commander, Brig.-Gen. S., along with other senior officers overseeing the facility.
Speaking directly to the personnel gathered at the base, Zamir expressed deep appreciation for their dedication during both routine missions and the intensified operations connected to Operation Roaring Lion.
“On behalf of all the people of Israel, you are extraordinary,” Zamir told the crews. “You are doing excellent work, and I know you are doing it around the clock.”
He emphasized that the Israeli Air Force’s operational strength depends not only on pilots in the cockpit but also on the technical crews who ensure aircraft are prepared for continuous missions.
According to Zamir, the Air Force must maintain a relentless operational pace as it carries out carefully planned strikes against hostile targets.
“The operational machine must continue to function nonstop,” he said. “One mission after another.”
Many of the current operations, he explained, had been prepared months in advance and are now being executed with precision as Israel responds to mounting threats.
Despite the progress made during the campaign, Zamir cautioned against any sense of complacency.
“We must not become complacent for even a moment,” he warned.
The chief of staff expressed full confidence in the Air Force and the broader Israeli military as they continue their efforts.
“I trust you, I trust the Israeli Air Force, and I trust the IDF to move forward with great strength and great faith,” Zamir said. “Together we will deliver victory for the people of Israel and win this war.”
Alongside the visit, the IDF released additional updates on recent operations targeting Iranian military infrastructure.
According to the military, Israeli Air Force strikes have dismantled a majority of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Internal Security and Basij forces infrastructure in Iran’s Ilam Province.
These actions are part of a wider effort to weaken the networks that support the Iranian regime’s military operations and its ability to threaten Israel.
The IDF also reported that intelligence units recently identified several operatives involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program in western Iran. The operatives were preparing to launch missiles toward Israel.
Once identified, the threat was quickly neutralized.
An Israeli fighter jet carried out a precision strike on the missile launcher, destroying the system and eliminating the operatives before they could fire.
The successful interception underscores Israel’s emphasis on proactive defense and rapid response capabilities.
From intelligence gathering and operational planning to the technical teams maintaining aircraft and the pilots carrying out missions, every layer of the Israeli Air Force plays a critical role in protecting the nation.
As Israel continues to confront threats from the Iranian regime and its network of armed groups, the professionalism and dedication of its air crews remain central to the country’s defense.
