Israeli Forces Begin Large-Scale Counterterror Operation in Northern Samaria

Joint IDF and ISA Strike Kills 11 Terrorists in Jenin and Tulkarem.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale counterterrorism operation in the Jenin and Tulkarem areas of northern Samaria overnight Tuesday, deploying hundreds of troops and air support. The operation, which is expected to last several days, has already resulted in significant casualties among terrorist operatives and multiple arrests.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 11 Palestinians were killed in the operation, including two in clashes with IDF troops in Jenin, three in a drone strike in a nearby village, and another four in a drone strike in the Far’a camp in Tubas. Israel’s Channel 12 identified two of the fatalities as Kassam Jabarin, 25, and Atsam Belot, 39.

The operation has seen the deployment of two brigade combat teams, with the bulk of the forces concentrated near Tulkarem, as reported by Ynet. Palestinian sources have claimed that Israeli forces are surrounding the Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin and have deployed troops at the entrances of other hospitals in the area.

In a separate incident revealed on Wednesday morning, the IDF confirmed that five terrorists were killed on Monday in a joint IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA) operation near Nur Shams in northern Samaria. Among the deceased was Jibril Ghassan Ismail Jibril, who had been released from prison as part of the Israel-Hamas hostage deal in November. He had returned to terrorist activities in the Tulkarem and Qalqilya areas.

The IDF identified the other terrorists killed as Mohanad Qarawi and Muhammad Yussef, who were involved in terrorist activities in Nur Shams, and Adnan Jaber, who was manufacturing explosives intended to target security forces. The structure targeted in the operation was being used by these individuals to plan and execute attacks on IDF soldiers.

The IDF has released a video of the strike, underscoring the ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks in northern Samaria and prevent further attacks on Israeli citizens and soldiers.
