32-Barrel Rocket Launcher in Southern Lebanon Destroyed by IDF
Elite Israeli Units Target Hezbollah’s Hidden Combat Compounds.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have revealed the destruction of a 32-barrel rocket launcher used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. This development comes amid ongoing operations targeting Hezbollah’s combat infrastructure in the region. Newly released footage shows IDF soldiers locating the launcher, which had been aimed toward Israeli territory. The launcher, along with additional weapons and combat equipment, was confiscated and destroyed.
The operation was conducted by the elite Commando Brigade, including units Egoz, Maglan, and Duvdevan, which have been actively dismantling Hezbollah’s entrenched positions in southern Lebanon’s mountainous terrain. Many of these Hezbollah compounds, used to direct attacks on Israeli communities, are embedded within civilian areas, according to the IDF.
The 98th Brigade, led by Brigadier-General Guy Levi, has played a significant role in these operations as part of Operation Northern Arrows, which began in September. IDF forces have destroyed hundreds of Hezbollah compounds during the campaign, neutralizing a significant portion of the group’s offensive capabilities.
The ongoing raids underscore Israel’s commitment to countering threats from Hezbollah, which continues to use civilian areas as shields for its military activities. The IDF’s efforts aim to dismantle the group’s infrastructure while minimizing risks to Israeli communities.
