20 Terrorists, Including Hamas Sniper, Killed in Israeli Airstrike

Joint IDF and ISA Operation Targets High-Profile Terrorists Responsible for Recent Attacks

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday that Muhammed Abu Jattab, a Hamas sniper responsible for the murder of Sgt. First Class Tal Lahat, was among 20 terrorists eliminated in a joint operation with the Israel Security Agency. Abu Jattab, a platoon commander in Hamas’s Al-Shati Battalion, was noted for his involvement in multiple sniper attacks throughout the war, including the fatal incident on July 9 during a targeted raid in Gaza City.

The operation also took out Nukhba terrorists, engineers, and snipers, including Ismael Shaksha, another Nukhba operative involved in the October 7 massacre. The targeted strike was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle Hamas’s terror infrastructure.

Sgt. First Class Tal Lahat, 21, from Kfar Saba, served in the elite Maglan commando unit. His death underscored the ongoing threats faced by IDF forces from Hamas operatives.

In a separate incident on the same day, Hamas operative Mohammed Jabarah was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon’s Beqa’a area. Jabarah was linked to numerous terror attacks and missile launches against Israel, coordinated with the Jamaa Islamiya terrorist organization.

Additionally, the IDF announced the elimination of Anas Murad, commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s naval forces in Gaza City, and Ahmad Almasri, responsible for multiple projectile launches from Gaza City’s Shejaiya neighborhood.

Israeli forces continue their operation in Rafah, near the Egypt-Gaza border, uncovering tunnel shafts and neutralizing several terrorists. This extensive effort aims to eradicate terrorist strongholds and ensure regional security.

On Wednesday, an IDF soldier was moderately wounded by a Hamas RPG along a humanitarian route in Gaza. The route, designated for aid trucks, was temporarily closed but reopened a few hours later. The IDF reiterated its commitment to facilitating humanitarian aid while adhering to international law, ensuring the safety of civilians amid ongoing conflict.
