IDF eliminates terrorists responsible for killing three soldiers in Gaza
Israeli forces continue operations across Gaza to neutralize threats.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday that they had eliminated ten terrorists responsible for the deaths of three Israeli soldiers during an attack in Jabalya, Gaza. The soldiers Staff Sergeant Ido Zano, Staff Sergeant Barak Daniel Halpern, and Sergeant Omri Cohen were killed in the line of duty.
The operation was part of broader IDF efforts to dismantle terror networks in Gaza following the escalation of hostilities in the region. Overnight strikes by the IDF targeted multiple locations across the Gaza Strip, including Beit Hanoun, Nuseirat refugee camp, and Rafah. Israeli forces also pushed into central and southern areas of the enclave as part of ongoing ground operations.
Palestinian medics reported at least 19 fatalities and dozens of injuries from Israeli strikes overnight, with ten deaths in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza alone. Strikes in Nuseirat refugee camp reportedly killed seven people and wounded others, while an airstrike in Rafah resulted in two deaths.
The Palestinian Civil Emergency Service and local medics provided casualty figures but did not specify whether those killed were combatants or civilians. The IDF has emphasized its focus on neutralizing Hamas and other terror operatives while taking precautions to minimize civilian casualties.
In Deir Al-Balah, IDF naval forces detained six Palestinian fishermen attempting to sail into the Mediterranean Sea on Tuesday, according to local residents. The detentions come amid heightened security measures to prevent arms smuggling and other threats along Gaza’s coast.
Israel’s ongoing operations aim to restore security and eliminate the terrorist infrastructure responsible for recent attacks. The military remains committed to protecting its citizens and troops while addressing the complex challenges posed by urban warfare in densely populated areas.
