Israel Air Force Eliminates Key PIJ Commander in Gaza City Brigade

The Israel Air Force (IAF) has successfully eliminated Alkaman Abed Elslam Khalil Anbar, a high-ranking commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s (PIJ) Gaza City Brigade, the IDF announced Friday morning. Anbar was a pivotal figure within the terror organization, responsible for managing its rocket fire operations targeting Israeli territory and playing a key role in its weapons manufacturing processes.

The strike, carried out with intelligence support from the Israeli Security Agency, targeted Anbar during an operation that also neutralized other Islamic Jihad operatives. These terrorists had been actively involved in firing rockets toward Israel and IDF forces.

Ongoing IDF Operations in Gaza

The elimination of Anbar is part of broader IDF operations across the Gaza Strip, with activity intensifying in areas such as Jabalya, Beit Lahia, and Rafah. Since Thursday, the IDF has conducted aerial strikes and uncovered significant stockpiles of weaponry, including explosive devices, machine guns, and additional terrorist equipment.

The IDF’s continued efforts to dismantle PIJ’s infrastructure aim to neutralize threats to Israeli communities while crippling the terror group’s operational capabilities.
