IDF Eliminates Hezbollah Radwan Battalion Commander in Precision Airstrike

Ahmad Bajjiga targeted for orchestrating terror attacks on Israel’s home front.

In a significant overnight operation, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed the elimination of Ahmad Adnan Bajjiga, a battalion commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Forces, during an airstrike in southern Lebanon. The precision strike, conducted by the Israeli Air Force in the Derdghaiya area and coordinated by the IDF’s 91st Division, marks a major blow to Hezbollah’s operational leadership.

According to the military, Bajjiga had been instrumental in promoting and executing terror attacks against both IDF forces and Israeli civilians. In recent months, he continued directing operations targeting Israel’s northern communities, further escalating tensions along the Lebanon border.

The strike was one of several carried out on Thursday, with the IDF also reporting an earlier hit on Hezbollah terrorists in Yohmor, southern Lebanon. Those operatives were intercepted while attempting to transfer weapons yet another sign of Hezbollah’s ongoing efforts to entrench itself militarily near Israel’s border.

The Radwan Forces, Hezbollah’s specialized assault unit trained for cross-border raids and urban warfare, have played a central role in threatening Israeli sovereignty and regional security. Israel’s strategy of targeted strikes aims to dismantle these capabilities and send a clear message: terror leaders will be held accountable.

The operation comes amid continued Israeli efforts to prevent a wider escalation while ensuring the safety of its northern residents. By removing key commanders like Bajjiga, the IDF demonstrates both its intelligence reach and operational precision in confronting threats across the region.
