IDF Hits Over 70 Hamas Targets Amid Escalated Gaza Operations
Israeli forces conduct precision strikes and ground raids against terrorist positions across Gaza.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday that it had intensified its military operations across the Gaza Strip, targeting over 70 Hamas positions in the past 24 hours. These strikes come as the IDF continues its campaign to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in northern, central, and southern Gaza.
In northern Gaza, the IDF’s 162nd Division engaged in heavy combat in the Jabalya region, eliminating approximately 20 Hamas terrorists through a combination of airstrikes and ground operations. Simultaneously, the 401st Brigade uncovered and destroyed a weapons depot containing grenades and Kalashnikov rifles, while the 460th Brigade neutralized a terrorist cell that had fired an anti-tank missile at Israeli forces. Additional weapons were seized during the operation.
Central Gaza also saw significant IDF action, with the 252nd Division carrying out precision raids to dismantle Hamas infrastructure. In al-Bureij, the 14th Brigade led a large-scale operation, successfully neutralizing terrorists and destroying strategic sites. The Nahal Brigade, acting on intelligence, directed an airstrike that thwarted a planned attack by a terrorist cell.
In the southern Gaza Strip near Rafah, the Nahal Brigade, along with the 828th Combat Training School, is continuing operations to weaken Hamas’s presence in the region. Israeli Air Force jets, in coordination with ground forces, have struck more than 70 targets across Gaza in a concerted effort to disrupt Hamas’s militant activities.
The ongoing operations demonstrate Israel's resolve to eliminate the threat posed by Hamas, striking at key targets to prevent further attacks and secure the safety of Israeli civilians.
