IDF Strikes Gaza Terror Cell and 150 Targets After Rocket Attacks on Israel

Following renewed rocket fire into Israeli communities, the IDF launched a massive counteroffensive, targeting terror infrastructure across Gaza.

After a fresh wave of rocket fire targeted Israeli civilians on Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces responded swiftly and decisively. Sirens echoed through Sderot and surrounding areas as terrorists in northern Gaza launched rockets into Israeli territory. In retaliation, the IDF struck the terror cell responsible and carried out a series of targeted strikes across the Gaza Strip.

The Israel Air Force (IAF) launched a comprehensive assault overnight, hitting approximately 150 terror targets throughout Gaza. According to the IDF, these operations neutralized numerous threats and destroyed critical components of terrorist infrastructure including underground routes, weapons caches, sniper positions, and fortified military structures.

In a coordinated ground operation, the IDF’s Nahal Brigade engaged and eliminated a terrorist who advanced toward Israeli troops. The unit also struck dozens of terrorist positions in northern Gaza, reinforcing the message that provocations against Israeli civilians will not go unanswered.

Simultaneously, in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis, Israeli forces uncovered stockpiles of weapons, including rifles, pistols, magazines, and mortar shells tools of terror meant to harm innocent Israelis.

This major escalation followed a clear warning from the IDF on Wednesday evening, urging civilians in several areas of Gaza to evacuate for their safety. These pre-strike notices are part of Israel’s longstanding policy to minimize civilian casualties while dismantling terror networks embedded within densely populated areas.

The operation underlines the IDF’s dual commitment protecting Israeli lives and maintaining operational precision even in the face of relentless hostility. With terrorists operating from schools, hospitals, and residential zones, the IDF’s task is as complex as it is necessary.

Israel continues to confront threats not only at its borders but from within areas manipulated by terror groups that care little for the lives of their own people. By striking back with determination and clarity, the IDF reinforces a simple truth the people of Israel will not live under rocket fire.
