IDF Raids Tammun and Tubas, Kills Five Terrorists, Seizes Weapons

Israeli security forces carried out intensive counterterrorism operations in the West Bank towns of Tammun and Tubas, killing five terrorists and arresting four others, the IDF confirmed on Thursday. The raids come in response to the brutal killing of 30-year-old Tzeela Gez, a pregnant Israeli mother of three, who was gunned down on Wednesday night while en route to give birth.

The elite Duvdevan Unit led the Tammun raid, targeting a group of terrorists believed to be connected to the attack. During the operation, troops used shoulder-mounted rockets to breach a building where terrorists had barricaded themselves. Explosives and a significant cache of weapons, including three M-16 rifles and four tactical vests, were found at the scene.

An IDF spokesperson stated that the search for the terrorist directly responsible for Gez’s murder is ongoing. Authorities believe the suspect had intimate knowledge of the area and may have received help to facilitate his escape.

Simultaneously in Tubas, Border Police special forces arrested three armed terrorists and seized six additional M-16 rifles, a pistol, a grenade, and other military-grade gear. Explosives were also recovered from one of the hideouts.

The IDF is now operating across multiple villages in the northern West Bank, deploying roadblocks and conducting searches to prevent the escape of the main suspect and to deter further attacks. Security around Israeli communities in the region has been reinforced.

“This wave of terrorism must be stopped, and our forces are acting with precision and determination,” an IDF spokesperson said. “The protection of innocent Israeli lives remains our top priority.”

The brutal murder of Tzeela Gez who leaves behind her husband and three young children has shocked the nation and reignited calls for stronger action against terrorism in Judea and Samaria.
