IDF Declares Turning Point in Military Campaign Against Iran

Israeli and American forces intensify precision strikes to dismantle Tehran’s missile and nuclear infrastructure.

Israel's top military leader has confirmed what many already sensed a dramatic shift is underway in the ongoing conflict with Iran. Speaking Sunday, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir called recent developments a “turning point” in the military campaign, following precision U.S. airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear sites.

“So far, we have achieved many objectives, including significantly damaging Iran’s nuclear program,” said Zamir. “This strike was made possible thanks to the courageous leadership of our American partners and due to a combined diplomatic and military effort.”

Zamir highlighted the close coordination with U.S. military leadership, including frequent communication with Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine and CENTCOM Commander Gen. Michael Kurilla. “The coordination between our militaries is a major strategic asset for the State of Israel,” he stated.

But the campaign is far from over. “We still have targets to strike and objectives to complete,” Zamir said. “We are prepared to continue for as long as necessary.”

The Israel Air Force has stepped up its operations deep within Iranian territory. On Sunday, IAF fighter jets struck a missile storage site in Yazd over 2,200 kilometers from Israel destroying long-range Khorramshahr missiles before they could be used. Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar described it as a “broad daylight” strike on the "Imam Hussein" missile headquarters, the farthest reach of any IAF mission to date.

Waves of strikes continue across Iran, with 20 IAF jets delivering over 30 munitions on key military targets, including radar installations, satellite intelligence sites, and missile infrastructure in the provinces of Kermanshah, Hamedan, and even near Tehran. A separate Saturday operation saw the destruction of a missile engine production site in Shahroud, disrupting Iran’s surface-to-surface missile manufacturing.

According to IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin, Iran’s nuclear program has sustained deep and significant damage. The military is now focused on dismantling Iran’s aerial defense systems, a critical move to maintain aerial superiority and prevent further aggression.

This coordinated Israeli-American effort has not only struck at the heart of Iran’s military might but has also sent a clear message: threats to Israel’s existence will be met with decisive and far-reaching force. Every target eliminated brings greater security to the Israeli people and diminishes Iran’s ability to project terror across the region.
