Iranian Missile Strike on Beersheva Leaves Seven Israelis Dead

Tragedy struck the southern Israeli city of Beersheva on Tuesday morning, as an Iranian missile obliterated part of a residential building, killing seven civilians and injuring over twenty others. The deadly strike occurred just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced what was supposed to be a “complete and total ceasefire” between Israel and Iran.

According to Magen David Adom emergency medical services, two people sustained moderate injuries while another 20 were lightly hurt. Rescue teams are still searching the wreckage of the partially collapsed seven-story apartment building for potential survivors.

The Israel Defense Forces reported that the Islamic Republic launched six volleys comprising 12 missiles starting at around 5 a.m. two hours before the ceasefire was set to begin. This blatant violation marks a tragic continuation of Iranian aggression despite international efforts to halt the conflict.

In response, the Israeli Air Force had already carried out preemptive strikes overnight on missile launchers in western Iran, successfully averting what could have been an even larger onslaught.

This is not the first time Iran has attacked during supposed cooling periods. On Monday, air raid sirens rang across Israel for more than 30 minutes as Iran fired four missile barrages thankfully resulting in no casualties. But the strike on Beersheva now stands as one of the deadliest single attacks of the war.

Since launching Operation Rising Lion on June 13, Israel has faced nearly one thousand Iranian missiles and drones, with 29 lives lost, dozens wounded, and thousands displaced. The psychological and physical toll of this unrelenting assault on civilian populations has been immense, leaving entire communities shattered and homes reduced to rubble.

As rescue crews continue their search, the Israeli people mourn yet another loss inflicted by a regime bent on terror. With every life lost, Iran’s disregard for peace becomes clearer and Israel’s resolve to protect its citizens grows even stronger.
