Israeli Hospital Struck in Iranian Missile Attack

In a chilling escalation, Iran launched 23 ballistic missiles at Israel early Thursday morning, striking multiple civilian areas, including a hospital, and injuring more than 30 people across the country.

The attack began at 7:03 a.m. Israel time, when warning sirens blared nationwide as Iranian missiles streaked across the sky. One of the most severe impacts occurred in Holon, central Israel, where a missile hit a building and left 16 people wounded—three in serious condition, one moderately injured, and a dozen lightly hurt.

Even more alarming, a direct strike landed on Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, a critical lifeline for southern Israel. The hospital sustained significant structural damage, prompting an evacuation of its upper floors over fears of a hazardous materials leak. Staff are still assessing the full toll, but the psychological and operational impact is already profound.

President Isaac Herzog captured the gravity of the moment in a poignant message: “A baby in intensive care. A mother by their bedside. A doctor rushing between beds. An elderly resident in a nursing home… These were some of the targets of Iran’s missile attacks on Israeli civilians this morning.” His words underline not just the brutality of the attack, but the human cost of such indiscriminate violence.

Elsewhere, missiles struck Ramat Gan, damaging the bustling Bursa diamond exchange district, while four other impacts were confirmed across the country.

Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir did not mince words, labeling the attackers as “Nazis” and warning of the catastrophic potential if Iran were ever to obtain nuclear weapons. “This is the most just war Israel has ever fought in its history,” he stated.
