Three Arab-Israelis Arrested for ISIS Terror Plot in Northern Israel

In a major security operation, Israeli police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) have arrested three Arab-Israelis from Arara, a town near Haifa, for allegedly pledging allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS) and plotting terror attacks against Jews in Israel.

The suspects two adults and one minor were taken into custody on Monday following an investigation that uncovered their intent to carry out deadly acts of terrorism under the guidance of ISIS operatives in Syria. Authorities revealed that the three had received detailed instructions on how to assemble explosives and had even conducted preliminary experiments in open areas to test their devices.

Their disturbing plan was aimed at creating bombs powerful enough to target Israeli security forces, according to the police. The suspects’ engagement with ISIS began after a confrontation with Border Police in January, after which they made contact with a foreign agent and cemented their deadly intentions.

“The investigation revealed, once again, a concerning trend of the expansion of the age group of people participating in terrorist activities within the Arab-Israeli sector namely, minors,” said a police official, underscoring the alarming reach of radical Islamist ideology.

The suspects have been indicted, and Israeli prosecutors have asked that they remain in custody until legal proceedings are concluded. This case serves as a reminder of the vigilance required to combat terrorism, especially when it involves foreign extremist organizations attempting to recruit and radicalize from within.

“Anyone who chooses terrorism will be caught and brought to justice,” the police official emphasized, reinforcing Israel’s unwavering stance on national security.
