Israel and Argentina expand defense cooperation

Newly appointed Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz hosted Argentina's Defense Minister Dr. Luis Alfonso Petri for high-level discussions aimed at strengthening defense ties between the two nations. The visit, facilitated by their respective ambassadors, Axel Wahnish and Eyal Sela, underscored the growing strategic partnership and shared vision for security and stability.

During their talks, Minister Katz acknowledged Argentina’s steadfast support for Israel during the recent Israel-Hamas conflict. He proposed a multi-year framework to further deepen cooperation through strategic workshops and seminars focusing on areas of mutual interest.

Dr. Petri, representing Argentine President Dr. Javier Milei, reiterated his country's solidarity with Israel.
