Israeli Exports Remain Resilient Amid Conflict
With nearly $150 billion in trade, Israel proves its economy remains resilient, innovative, and globally connected.

Against the backdrop of rocket fire, mobilized reservists, and a nation at war, Israel’s economy showed remarkable strength. In 2024, Israeli exporters delivered nearly $150 billion in goods and services just a 1% dip from the previous year demonstrating the determination and adaptability that define the modern Israeli spirit.
The numbers speak volumes. Technology services, comprising over half of Israel’s exports, actually grew 3% in 2024 and surged another 10% in the first quarter of 2025. Even amid conflict and chaos, Israel’s core sectors continued to thrive.
According to the Israel Export Institute, staff operated through rocket alerts, labor shortages, and supply chain disruptions. Emergency “war rooms” helped companies reroute logistics, while virtual expos and B2B events linked over 5,000 Israeli businesses with global buyers.
“When rockets are flying and the world questions Israel’s stability, we keep doing what we do best: connecting Israel to the world,” said Export Institute chairman Avi Balashnikov. “Every crisis brings opportunity, and our exporters prove the Israeli spirit every day.”
Defense exports reached an all-time high of $15 billion in 2024, bolstered by European demand for Israeli air-defense systems. Meanwhile, trade delegations pressed forward in East Asia, India, and the Gulf. Plans are already underway to re-engage with African markets and to spotlight Israeli innovation at COP-31 in Brazil.
The future looks promising. The Bank of Israel projects economic growth of 3.5% in 2025 and 4% in 2026 assuming the Gaza war remains contained. Venture capital activity has rebounded to within 10% of its pre-war levels, reaffirming Israel’s reputation as a global startup powerhouse.
“In a volatile region, exports are our anchor,” said Balashnikov. “They show that Israel remains inventive, reliable, and very much open for business.”
Israel’s resilience isn’t just about surviving it's about innovating, thriving, and leading. And for the world, it’s a clear message: no matter the circumstances, Israel delivers.
