Israel Suspends Gaza Aid, Directs IDF to Prevent Hamas Takeover

Netanyahu demands new strategy as video evidence reveals terrorists seizing food supplies.

In a decisive overnight move, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the IDF to present a concrete plan within 48 hours to prevent Hamas from hijacking humanitarian aid destined for Gaza civilians.

The order follows disturbing intelligence and a viral video showing Hamas terrorists armed and riding atop aid trucks evidence that Gaza’s ruling terror group is once again diverting vital food and supplies away from the population.

“This video was filmed today,” posted former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who shared footage of Hamas gunmen commandeering the very trucks meant to bring relief. “This is how they continue to feed Hamas with money and power.”

In response, aid deliveries to Gaza were halted immediately, pending a new strategy from the IDF to prevent further diversion. According to Channel 12 News, this pause also follows pressure from Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who demanded aid be stopped or risk fracturing Netanyahu’s governing coalition.

Meanwhile, the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) continues to expand its independent aid operations aimed at bypassing Hamas entirely. On Wednesday alone, GHF delivered over 2.4 million meals through its SDS4 distribution hub, bringing its total to nearly 44 million meals provided in just four weeks.

John Acree, interim executive director of GHF, praised his team for ensuring secure, violence-free distribution across all sites. “We are always coordinating with our partners on the ground to make further improvements to our operations to ensure the safest and most secure aid distribution possible,” he stated.

GHF has also pushed back against misinformation spread by Hamas-controlled entities, including the so-called Gaza Health Ministry. The group pointed out that several major media outlets, including Reuters and CBS, have issued corrections after initially misreporting aid-related incidents.

In a notable development, the United States announced a $30 million financial contribution to GHF its first known funding of the organization underscoring growing international interest in ensuring aid reaches Gazan civilians without empowering Hamas.

Israel’s pause on aid reflects a growing consensus: humanitarian assistance must not strengthen those who brought war upon their people. As the IDF crafts its strategy, the goal remains clear aid must go to the innocent, not the instigators.
