Israel Strikes Deep Into Tehran Killing Hundreds of IRGC Operatives
IDF targets key regime strongholds and missile sites in largest wave of attacks yet.

In one of its most sweeping and decisive operations to date, Israel has delivered a crushing blow to the Iranian regime by eliminating hundreds of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) operatives in a series of targeted airstrikes across Tehran. The strikes, confirmed by Israeli military officials on Monday, hit several strategic sites including the Basij headquarters and the notorious Evin Prison.
The Basij militia, an arm of the IRGC and designated a terrorist organization by the United States, serves as an internal enforcer of the regime. Alongside the Basij, the Alborz Corps responsible for regional security in and around the Tehran District was also hit. The Tharallah headquarters, a key IRGC command post charged with defending the capital, was among the targets.
This powerful offensive follows Iran’s recent barrage of missile attacks on Israeli territory, including critical infrastructure in southern Israel. Defense Minister Israel Katz vowed swift retaliation: “For every shot fired at the Israeli home front, the Iranian dictator will be punished, and the strikes will continue with full force.”
Israel’s military campaign has escalated in precision and reach. On Monday, the IDF confirmed strikes on the access roads and entrances of Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility a vital step in preventing the movement of sensitive materials. This came just one day after the United States also targeted the same nuclear site, highlighting the deepening military coordination between the two allies.
Earlier the same day, the Israeli Air Force struck six airports across Iran, damaging runways, aircraft including F-14s, F-5s, and AH-1 helicopters and underground storage bunkers. These facilities were identified as critical nodes for launching attacks against Israel. The IAF also launched a series of strikes on surface-to-surface missile launch and storage facilities near Kermanshah in western Iran, a region now repeatedly targeted due to its operational significance.
Despite the overwhelming success of the mission, the IDF did confirm that one Israeli remotely piloted aircraft was downed over Iranian territory during the operation. However, the military emphasized that its overall aerial dominance remains intact, and operations will persist until Iranian offensive capabilities are fully neutralized.
These coordinated assaults serve as a bold reminder of Israel’s resolve to dismantle threats at their source. The regime in Tehran, long emboldened by proxy warfare and terror financing, is now facing direct and repeated strikes on its heartland a shift that underscores a new era in Middle East deterrence.
Israel will not waver in its mission to protect its people and preserve peace through strength. Share this report or subscribe to our newsletter to receive continued updates on Israel’s defense achievements and strategic progress.
