Tehran Centrifuge Site Hit in Major Israeli Air Offensive

With over 50 fighter jets in action, IDF targets Iran’s nuclear ambitions and missile production centers deep in Tehran.

In a bold escalation of Operation Rising Lion, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed Wednesday that over 50 fighter jets carried out a series of precision airstrikes overnight targeting a major centrifuge production site in Tehran. The site was described as a critical component of Iran’s rapidly advancing uranium enrichment program key to its nuclear ambitions.

“The Iranian regime is enriching uranium for the purpose of developing nuclear weapons,” the IDF stated unequivocally. “Nuclear power for civilian use does not require enrichment at these levels.”

The strikes didn’t stop there. Israel also targeted facilities producing components for surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missiles. These sites, according to the IDF, have played a direct role in Iran’s missile attacks on Israeli cities, and their elimination is central to degrading Tehran’s warfighting capability.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz compared the impact of the strikes to a tornado sweeping through the Iranian capital, noting the collapse of state institutions and a visible wave of panic among the civilian population. “This is how dictatorships collapse,” he posted, hinting at potential instability in the regime.

During a press briefing, IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin emphasized the significant damage inflicted. “We’ve struck deep, hitting Iran’s nuclear, ballistic, and command capabilities,” he said, reiterating that the IDF’s mission is “to remove the threat at its source.”

Among the notable achievements was the assassination of Maj. Gen. Ali Shadmani, commander of both the IRGC and Iranian army killed only four days after his predecessor was eliminated in an earlier strike.

While the battle continues in Gaza, where 53 hostages remain in captivity under Hamas, Israeli forces are simultaneously targeting long-range missile threats in Iran. Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited Bat Yam, where a recent Iranian missile attack killed eight civilians. He reaffirmed Israel’s resolve: “Right now, we’re hunting and destroying surface-to-surface missiles 1,500 kilometers from our homeland.”

This multifront campaign is powered by the extraordinary resilience of Israel’s citizens. Zamir highlighted that this civilian strength provides the IDF the freedom to act decisively and relentlessly.

As Israel deepens its operations against Iran's nuclear and military infrastructure, the world watches a sovereign nation defend its very existence with unmatched precision, intelligence, and unity.
