Israeli Racers Set to Compete in FIA Motorsport Games 2024

14 athletes set to represent Israel in Valencia, Spain, across multiple motorsport disciplines.

A team of 14 Israeli drivers is headed to Valencia, Spain, to compete in the prestigious FIA Motorsport Games 2024, taking place from October 23 to 27. The event, organized by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), will feature teams from 90 countries competing across 27 different motorsport disciplines.

The games will be held at three notable locations: the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, home to Formula 1 and GT races, the City of Arts & Sciences, which will host the opening and closing ceremonies as well as ESPORT races, and Circuit Cheste, where karting and cross car races will take place.

The Israeli team includes a diverse group of athletes competing in various categories:

  • Ariel Elkin: Formula 4

  • Itay Sadeh: Drifting

  • Guy Albag: Karting Sprint Senior

  • Adar Melamed: Cross Car Senior

  • Yam Pinto, Ohad Garlenik, Avitar Narov: Karting Endurance

  • Eva Ivanov, Dudu Jebli: Karting Slalom

  • Yuval Ravitz, Tal Sarig: Auto Slalom

  • Ori Goldberg: Karting Sprint Junior

  • Reuven Gefen: ESPORT F4 (driving simulator)

  • Daniel Brzozowski: Esport GT (driving simulator)

The Israeli team will compete using electric vehicles, specifically the Hyundai Kona Electric N. Leading the team is Alon Day, a four-time European champion in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.

The Israeli Motorsport Association has set a goal of winning at least three medals. "This is a global event with significant international exposure," said a spokesperson for the team. "We aim to put Israel on the motorsport map in a big way and wish the team success in continuing their streak of achievements."

The biennial FIA Motorsport Games is a flagship event for global motorsports, drawing widespread media coverage and attention on social media. In addition to Israel’s participation, the event will feature various other races, including the Ferrari Challenge, Rally, Historic Rally, Truck Racing, GT, and Touring Car.

As the Israeli team gears up for this high-profile competition, they carry the hopes of achieving podium finishes and representing their country with pride on the international stage.
