Israeli Police Crack Down Over 30 Illegal Migrants and Six Car Thieves Arrested

Law enforcement cracks down on illegal activity with coordinated weekend operations.

Israeli police carried out a series of successful operations over the weekend, arresting over 30 illegal migrants and six car thieves in coordinated raids across the country.

One of the largest operations took place in Umm al-Fahm, where Coastal District and Border Police officers raided an apartment, apprehending 11 illegal migrants from Jenin. Similar actions were taken in Bat Yam, where police arrested 10 illegal migrants at a construction site and residential compound. A suspect connected to these locations was also taken in for questioning.

In Beit Shemesh, seven additional illegal migrants were arrested, while an East Jerusalem resident was detained for transporting two migrants without legal documentation. Further investigations led to formal indictments against several individuals found at construction sites.

Israeli police also intensified their fight against vehicle theft over the weekend. Officers from the Bnei Brak-Ramat Gan district pursued and arrested two suspects caught with stolen motorcycles. Another suspect in Yehud was caught attempting to steal a car, while in Ganei Tikva, a thief was apprehended with burglary tools.

In Central Tel Aviv, a routine investigation near Dizengoff Square uncovered a car thief who was using a fake identity. Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, police arrested a suspect at the Kalandiya crossing, who had stolen a vehicle from Beit Shemesh earlier that day.

These arrests reflect Israel's ongoing efforts to combat illegal migration and criminal activity. The police continue to monitor and dismantle networks involved in unlawful residency, vehicle theft, and other security threats.
