IZZY Expands Global Reach with New Language Subtitles for Israeli TV and Films
French, Spanish, and Portuguese subtitles now available, connecting more viewers to Israeli culture.
IZZY - Stream Israel, the premier international streaming platform for Israeli TV and movies, is expanding its global footprint by introducing French, Spanish, and Portuguese subtitles for over 100 titles in its library. This strategic initiative, launched this week, aims to make Israeli culture more accessible to a diverse international audience, in line with IZZY's mission to connect viewers around the world with the richness of Israeli storytelling.
The timing of this expansion is particularly significant. Following the October 7 attacks and the ongoing conflict, global interest in Israel has surged, with many seeking a deeper understanding of Israeli culture beyond the headlines. In response, IZZY has seen a dramatic increase in subscriptions, doubling its user base to over 60,000 active viewers. These audiences are turning to IZZY for its timely documentaries and diverse content that offer unique perspectives on Israel.
Nati Dinnar, CEO of IZZY, emphasized the importance of this expansion: “With the addition of French, Spanish, and Portuguese subtitles, IZZY reaffirms its commitment to cultural diversity and accessibility, ensuring that the power of Israeli storytelling reaches an even wider audience. This move responds to numerous global requests for more language options, enabling more people with a passion for Israel to connect with its culture and stories. At a time when global focus on Israel is more intense than ever, it’s vital that people around the world have the opportunity to experience Israeli content firsthand.”
The newly subtitled offerings include essential titles such as the October 7 war-time episodes of “Facts/Uvda,” Israel’s leading investigative show, and exclusive documentaries like “Heroes,” which highlights acts of bravery on October 7th, and “Screams Before Silence,” a documentary presented by Sheryl Sandberg that delves into the sexual violence committed by Hamas during their attacks.
Popular dramas like “Shtisel,” "The Women's Balcony," "The Chef," and "Unsilenced" are also now available in the expanded language selection, along with films such as “War and Peace,” “Rescue Bus 300,” and “Between Worlds.” Additionally, documentaries like “Golda” and “Under the Iron Dome,” which explores Israel’s innovative missile defense system, are now accessible with these new subtitles.
With this expansion, IZZY is poised to further its mission of sharing Israel's stories with the world, providing authentic content that resonates on a global scale. As more viewers discover the depth and diversity of Israeli media, IZZY continues to build bridges of cultural understanding through the power of storytelling.
