Argentine President Javier Milei to Visit Israel to Strengthen Ties
Pro-Israel Leader to Address Knesset and Meet With Netanyahu.

Argentine President Javier Milei is set to visit Israel on March 23, marking his second trip to the Jewish state since taking office. The visit aims to deepen bilateral relations, with Milei expected to deliver a historic address at the Knesset and meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Since winning Argentina’s presidential election in November 2023, Milei has emerged as one of Israel’s most vocal international supporters. His strong pro-Israel stance has redefined Argentina’s foreign policy, aligning it more closely with Jerusalem and Washington.
Milei’s presidency comes at a time of economic turmoil in Argentina, with soaring inflation and widespread corruption scandals dominating the domestic agenda. Nevertheless, he has made Israel a priority, choosing it for his first international visit in February 2024. During that trip, he pledged to move Argentina’s embassy to Jerusalem and toured Kibbutz Nir Oz, where Hamas terrorists kidnapped and murdered Israeli civilians on October 7.
In a decisive break from Argentina’s past policies, Milei officially designated Hamas as a terrorist organization and has taken a firm stance against Iran-backed terror. He also vowed to prosecute in absentia the Iranian suspects behind the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, one of the deadliest attacks on Jews outside of Israel.
Milei’s unwavering support for Israel extends beyond diplomacy. Last month, he declared two days of national mourning for the Bibas children, Ariel, 4, and nine-month-old Kfir, who were murdered in Hamas captivity along with their mother, Shiri. The Israeli-Argentine family became a symbol of Hamas’s brutality, with Kfir being the youngest hostage taken on October 7 and the youngest victim to be killed.
Milei’s visit is expected to further cement Argentina’s ties with Israel, reinforcing his commitment to standing with the Jewish state in times of war and peace.
