Kanye West Sparks Outrage With Super Bowl Ad Promoting Swastika Shirts

Rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye, has ignited outrage after using a Super Bowl commercial to promote t-shirts featuring a swastika. The shirts, listed for sale on his website Yeezy.com, display the infamous Nazi symbol and are labeled with “HH-01,” which the Anti-Defamation League identified as code for “Heil Hitler.”

The ad, which aired in the Los Angeles area during Super Bowl LIX, featured Ye speaking directly into his iPhone camera while sitting in a dentist’s chair. “Guys, I spent, like, all the money for the commercial on these new teeth. So once again, I had to shoot it on the iPhone,” he said, before directing viewers to visit his website.

Ye’s actions follow a string of antisemitic rants on X, where he declared himself a Nazi, praised Adolf Hitler, and made deeply offensive remarks about Jewish people. His posts prompted backlash from Jewish organizations, celebrities, and activists, with many calling for social media platforms to permanently ban him.

Actor David Schwimmer criticized X owner Elon Musk for allowing Ye to spread hate to his 32 million followers. “His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews,” Schwimmer wrote on Instagram. He urged Musk to take action, warning that “silence is complicity.”

Ye’s latest antisemitic tirade mirrors his past controversies. In 2022, he similarly praised Hitler during an interview with far-right commentator Alex Jones, leading to temporary bans from social media platforms. Despite a brief apology at the time, his latest remarks suggest he has doubled down on his extremist rhetoric.
