Katz Issues ‘Final Warning’ to Hamas Release Hostages or Gaza Will Be Destroyed

Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stark ultimatum to Hamas on Sunday, warning that unless the terror group releases the hostages it is holding in Gaza and lays down its arms, Israel will destroy Gaza and eliminate the organization.

“This is a final warning,” Katz posted on social media. “Today, a mighty hurricane will strike the skies over Gaza City, and the roofs of the terror towers will tremble. The IDF continues as planned and is preparing to expand the operation to bring about the decisive defeat of Gaza.”

His comments come amid mounting military preparations by the IDF, including expected aerial strikes on high-rise buildings in Gaza.

Katz’s warning echoed an earlier post from U.S. President Donald Trump, who wrote, “This is my last warning, there will not be another one!” Trump’s message followed reports of a new U.S.-backed proposal delivered to Hamas through negotiators Gershon Baskin and Dr. Bishara Bahbah, outlining a framework to end the conflict and secure hostage releases.

Hamas responded with a public statement indicating its willingness to negotiate, saying it was ready to “immediately sit at the negotiating table” if Israel agrees to end the war, fully withdraw from Gaza, and allow an independent Palestinian administration to assume control.
