Experience the Largest Israeli Zipline in the Heart of Biblical Jerusalem

Experience Jerusalem’s ancient history with a breathtaking aerial adventure.

Visitors to Jerusalem often describe feeling a deep spiritual and emotional connection as they walk through its ancient streets and biblical landmarks. Now, a new and exhilarating attraction allows them to experience the city’s rich history in a way like never before a 731-meter zipline, the longest in Israel, offering breathtaking views of the Holy City.

The adventure begins at Armon HaNatziv, a location steeped in biblical history. It is believed to be the same spot where Abraham stood nearly 4,000 years ago, gazing toward Mount Moriah as he journeyed to make a profound sacrifice, as recounted in Genesis 22. Today, this site offers a thrilling twist on that ancient story, with visitors soaring above Jerusalem’s sacred landscape.

The zipline is part of a brand-new visitor experience centered around the Mizpe David, a three-story complex that will feature Israel’s first “smart” observation point when it opens in December 2024. This advanced platform will offer visitors a unique glimpse into the past, allowing them to see how Jerusalem has evolved from its biblical roots to the modern city it is today.

Strapped into a harness at the rooftop visitor center, riders will fly over 731 meters of Jerusalem’s urban landscape. Along the way, they will be treated to awe-inspiring views of the Mount of Olives, Kidron Valley, the City of David, and the iconic Temple Mount. The ride concludes in the scenic "Peace Forest," where passengers will be transported back to the visitor center in a safari vehicle, adding a touch of adventure to the return journey.

The City of David Foundation, known for its dedication to preserving and promoting Jerusalem’s ancient heritage, oversees both the zipline and the visitor center. The Foundation continues to invest in enhancing the tourism experience in the areas of Jerusalem that were under Jordanian control from 1948 to 1967. One of their recent projects includes the opening of Israel’s longest suspension bridge across the Gei-Ben-Hinnom Valley in September 2023, another popular attraction drawing visitors to explore the capital’s biblical past.

This new zipline and smart visitor center highlight Israel’s unique ability to blend history with innovation. Tourists can now feel the thrill of flying over one of the world’s oldest cities, all while connecting with the deep spiritual legacy of the land.
