Genesis Prize Presented to Milei in Honor of Historic 'Isaac Accords'
Argentine president honored for his bold support of Israel and vision to strengthen global alliances against antisemitism and terror.

In a moving ceremony at Jerusalem’s Museum of Tolerance, Argentine President Javier Milei was awarded the 2025 Genesis Prize, honoring his unwavering support for Israel at a time of growing global hostility. The prestigious $1 million award, often called "the Jewish Nobel," recognizes Milei’s leadership and his groundbreaking Isaac Accords initiative, designed to deepen ties between Israel and democratic nations in Latin America.
The award was presented by Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Genesis Prize Foundation chairman Stan Polovets, who praised Milei as a "moral voice of clarity" on the world stage. “Milei’s support is not only symbolic,” said Polovets. “His Isaac Accords vision is a geopolitical strategy that can bring tangible results in Latin America, from stronger bilateral ties to more votes for Israel at the UN.”
The Isaac Accords, modeled after the Abraham Accords, aim to build a new alliance of nations committed to shared values of democracy, innovation, and counterterrorism. As Milei continues to confront antisemitism and political isolation of Israel, this initiative reflects his determination to expand Israel’s circle of friends and allies throughout Central and South America.
Highlighting the emotional evening, a live performance of Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend” brought many in the audience to tears, symbolizing the growing bonds of friendship and solidarity that Milei seeks to strengthen on Israel’s behalf.
True to the tradition of Genesis Prize laureates, Milei declined the monetary award, redirecting the $1 million to launch a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the Isaac Accords. The Genesis Prize Foundation will partner with leading pro-Israel organizations, including StandWithUs, the Israel Allies Foundation, the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, and Yalla Israel, to drive the initiative forward.
“This is more than a prize. It’s a call to action,” Polovets emphasized. “We are encouraging nations in Central and South America to follow Argentina’s lead in standing with Israel.”
Milei’s recognition marks the first time the Genesis Prize has been awarded to a sitting head of state outside of Israel. His recent pledge to relocate Argentina’s embassy to Jerusalem further underscores his steadfast commitment to the Jewish state, setting a powerful example on the global stage.
Established in 2013, the Genesis Prize honors individuals who embody Jewish values and inspire the global Jewish community. Past laureates include iconic figures such as U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, filmmaker Steven Spielberg, philanthropist Robert Kraft, and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla. Collectively, the prize has generated over $50 million for philanthropic initiatives worldwide, supporting causes ranging from refugee assistance and disability rights to combating antisemitism and aiding hostage families.
Through his leadership and vision, President Milei is not only strengthening the bond between Israel and Argentina but helping to rewrite Israel’s diplomatic future at a time when clear voices of support are needed most.
