Famous Youtuber Nas Daily Explores Judaism in Latest Video Creation

Nuseir Yassin explores Judaism in Jerusalem, bridging cultures and sharing insights with his global audience.

Over the holiday of Passover in the Old City of Jerusalem, famous content creator Nuseir Yassin, better known as Nas Daily, embarked on a profound journey into Judaism. With over 60 million followers on his social media platforms, Yassin sat down for a four-hour conversation with Rabbi Dov Ber Cohen at the Dan Family Aish World Center.

Rabbi Dov Ber, a senior educator at Aish and accomplished author, cut short a family vacation in Tiberias to participate in the discussion. Their conversation, now featured in Nas Daily's latest video, covered a wide array of topics related to Jewish life, learning, and practices, as well as larger themes such as world peace.

This video is the fourth installment in Yassin’s six-month challenge to study five different religions and Atheism. Next on his list is Christianity, which he plans to explore later this month in Jerusalem.

Rabbi Dov Ber, who has a background in studying Hinduism and Buddhism, expressed enthusiasm about the project. “There are so many life-changing ideas in Judaism,” he said. “It is impossible to reduce them to one article or a video, even a Nas Daily video. My hope is that people will get a taste and want to learn more to empower their journey to purpose, happiness, and meaning in life.”

The collaboration between Nuseir and Aish was a perfect match for this project. Chief Media and Marketing Officer of Aish, Jamie Geller, highlighted the significance of filming at a leading global Jewish educational organization. The Aish World Center, situated across from the Western Wall, provided an ideal backdrop for the video, especially during the Priestly Blessing of Passover, which draws tens of thousands of Jews to pray and receive blessings.

Nuseir shared his excitement about the project, saying, “This video in particular was inspiring for me as I grew up living in Israel right next to Jews and Judaism, and yet I knew so little about their religion and culture. This whole spirituality challenge is inspiring, but finally learning about Judaism helped me understand the people who I grew up right next to, on a much deeper level.”

The video aims to make Jewish wisdom accessible to a global audience, aligning with Aish’s mission. “Sharing Jewish Wisdom with today’s audience, in a language that is easily accessible, is what Aish is all about,” Geller added. “This was really a win-win for everyone involved, for Nuseir, for Aish, and most of all for the audience who can watch and learn from this incredible video.”

As expressions of Jewish identity face challenges worldwide, Aish encourages anyone interested in learning more about their heritage to engage with their resources. Whether it’s studying Judaism, asking questions, or finding a community, Aish is ready to support those on their journey.
