First Padel Club Opens in Northern Israel
Nesher joins Israel’s sporting revolution with launch of professional padel complex.

Northern Israel has officially stepped into the world of padel. On February 6, the city of Nesher celebrated the launch of its first professional padel club marking a bold new chapter for one of the country’s fastest-growing sports.
Built adjacent to the Great Shape Country Club, the new facility introduces world-class padel to the Carmel region, offering four premium courts designed and installed by PadelNet, a company known for its cutting-edge sports infrastructure. What makes this complex unique isn’t just the quality it’s the setting. With courts imported from Spain and custom-built in natural earth tones, the venue blends seamlessly into the lush landscape of Mount Carmel.
At the opening ceremony, Nesher Mayor Roy Levy took center stage both literally and figuratively cutting the ribbon and even joining a game himself. More than just a sporting gesture, the event also unveiled a meaningful collaboration between the municipality and the club, which will include dedicated programs for youth, women, and local residents.
Padel, a fast-paced hybrid of tennis and squash, has become a national sensation across Israel. Its accessible gameplay and social nature have made it a favorite among both casual players and serious athletes. The opening of this club signals that the sport’s expansion is not just a Tel Aviv or central Israel phenomenon it’s now reaching the north.
Nesher’s investment in this facility reflects a broader commitment to community wellness, active living, and inclusivity in sport. The padel club is more than a recreational space; it’s a new meeting point, a training ground, and a symbol of civic pride.
By bringing padel to the slopes of the Carmel, Nesher has placed itself firmly on Israel’s sporting map an example of how local leadership and private enterprise can work together to enrich the everyday lives of Israeli citizens.
