Bipartisan U.S. Delegations Meet with Netanyahu in Jerusalem
U.S. lawmakers reaffirm support for Israel, discuss Gaza war, hostages, and regional diplomacy.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met this week with two visiting congressional delegations in Jerusalem, reaffirming the close alliance between the United States and Israel amid ongoing war with Hamas and broader regional challenges.
On Wednesday, Netanyahu hosted a bipartisan delegation from the House Intelligence Committee, joined by Mossad Director David Barnea. The meeting included Reps. Rick Crawford (R-Ark.), Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), and Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), and focused on intelligence coordination, regional threats, and strategies for confronting Hamas.
The previous day, Netanyahu welcomed a Republican congressional delegation organized by AIPAC. During the meeting, he briefed the lawmakers on the IDF’s operations in Gaza, efforts to secure the release of Israeli hostages, and the ongoing battle against Hamas’s propaganda war.
“Prime Minister Netanyahu commented on the issue of humanitarian assistance and the mendacious campaign being waged by Hamas against the State of Israel,” his office said.
The discussion also included regional diplomacy and expanding the Abraham Accords, with a particular emphasis on strengthening Israel’s strategic ties throughout the Middle East.
Rep. Abraham Hamadeh (R-Ariz.) personally thanked Netanyahu for Israel’s support of the Druze community in Syria’s Suwayda region—a gesture reflecting the broader moral and humanitarian values guiding Israeli foreign policy. Hamadeh’s mother, who joined him on the trip, was born in the Suwayda district.
House Majority Whip Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) described the AIPAC-led delegation’s visit as “very productive,” stating, “Our resolve to stand alongside the Jewish community, bring the hostages home and end Hamas’s terror once and for all remains stronger than ever.”
The meetings underscore growing bipartisan unity in Washington when it comes to Israel’s right to defend itself and its mission to dismantle Hamas. They also reflect continued U.S. interest in expanding peace efforts across the region while standing firm against terrorism and antisemitism.
In a world of shifting alliances, these visits demonstrate that Israel’s bond with America remains unshakable.
