Netanyahu Declares End of Hamas Rule in Gaza
On a visit to Ashkelon, the prime minister reaffirms Israel’s dual goal to defeat Hamas and free all hostages, while unveiling bold energy plans.

Standing in Ashkelon, just miles from the Gaza border, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a message of unambiguous resolve “There will be no more Hamas. It’s over.”
In a bold statement made during a visit to the Eilat Ashkelon Pipeline Company (EAPC) facilities, Netanyahu reiterated Israel’s twin priorities eliminating the Hamas terror group and securing the release of all remaining hostages. “We will free all of our hostages, and we will eliminate Hamas down to its very foundations,” he declared.
Acknowledging concerns that those goals may appear at odds, Netanyahu emphasized that they align. Israel’s path to security and moral clarity, he suggested, runs through both the destruction of terrorism and the redemption of its captives.
The visit to EAPC wasn’t merely symbolic. Netanyahu highlighted Israel’s rising influence in the global energy market. He laid out ambitious plans to link the energy networks of Asia, the Middle East, and the Arabian Peninsula positioning Israel as a central energy hub.
“Expected revenues from gas in the coming decade will be almost 300 billion shekels,” he stated, adding that Israel would continue to expand its energy infrastructure and international reach.
Netanyahu's remarks point to a future where Israel not only defeats its enemies but capitalizes on enormous economic and strategic opportunities. “We are not going to miss them or lose them,” he said. “There is a huge opportunity here, both to defeat our enemies and ensure our economic, national, international, and energy future.”
During his tour, Netanyahu was joined by Energy Minister Eli Cohen and other senior officials. He met with EAPC employees and praised their dedication, particularly in restoring critical infrastructure damaged during recent hostilities.
Later, at the Home Front Command headquarters, Netanyahu commended soldiers and emergency personnel who saved lives following Iranian missile strikes during “Operation Rising Lion.” Accompanied by Defense Minister Yisrael Katz and Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, he expressed gratitude for the teamwork that kept countless Israelis safe.
“You have done an amazing job,” Netanyahu told them. “There is nothing like it in the world.”
Israel’s strength today is built not only on military precision and technological advancement but on unity, purpose, and moral clarity. The message from Ashkelon is clear: terror will not define our future determination, innovation, and hope will.
